There are no notes today.

Today was all about your TPOL work. Your TPOL speech had to be done by the end of today I order for it to get passed. If you checked someone’s TPOL and it was passed you got one extra credit point but, of you checked it and it wasn’t passed you lose a point. So all we did was that and preparing for TPOLS. Or we studied for Ross’s Final on Thursday.

Here are today’s notes.

Today will be the last day of taking down notes and because of exhibition, the schedule is a bit funny. We learned about the results of the end of World War II for the first half of class and then switched over to Chris Mutter’s class. When we finished with Chris’s class we went back to Ross’s class to work on TPOLs or help set up/rehearse for exhibition. The wall was open so both classes became one.

Homework: None/ TPOLS

Here are the notes for today.

Today we learned about the Pacific War. Then we received a paper that had president Roosevelt’s speech on it. We listened to him speak and added/ marked the speech paper where: the audience clapped, Roosevelt paused, and where Roosevelt added words. Then Ross collected the paper. When we finished with that we learned about Executive Order 9066 (a pretty famous order) by watching a short video. Then we learned about War production in America by watching another short video. When those were over we took Taboo cards from across the classes and cut them out. After we cut them out we placed the cards into piles of fifty, making sure there were no repeats. Ross tried to have us begin the Taboo Tournament but we ran out of time.

Here are the notes for today.

We began class with the word “genocide”. Everyone brainstormed three things that had to happen in order to be genocide; then we shared the ideas in class and Ross proof read them on the board. We formed what genocide meant with using the remaining words on the board. Afterwards we went right on into the Holocaust. We learned about what happened during the Holocaust and how it ended. Then we were given a packet with German (anti-Jewish) propaganda. We had to answer questions on it and wrote down how the Germans identified someone as a Jew (we read how to identify a Jew, during that time, in our Class Reader). After that Ross took aside the people who did the Greengroup reading. If we finished the packet early, then we began to cut out our Taboo Cards.
